先日チェスター動物園に行ってきました。天気も今までにはない快晴の天気で電車とバスを使って行ってきました。園内は非常に広く動物それぞれのスペースもかなりの広さでこころなしかどの動物も日本の動物よりなんかのびのびしている気がしました（でも柵の中にいることに違いはありませんでしたが…）。一日中歩いていたので疲労は相当なものでしたが、帰りの電車の道中で娘の花菜がお土産に買ったシマウマの風船を手にしていると、乗客の皆さんから声をかけてもらい、同じ位の娘さんを持つ仕事帰りの男性からもいろいろ暖かい声をかけてもらったり、ハイキング帰りの女性たちからお菓子をもらったり非常にイギリスの方の優しさを感じることのできた楽しい旅行でした。
I went to zoo on the weekend during half term break of my daughter’s. It was very fine on that day and we took there by bus and train. The zoo was very wide and the space for each animals also wide. The animals in this zoo seems more relaxed than those in Japanese zoo ( but they are still in the fence). We are very fatigued walking around there so much, but we were happy to be spoken many kindhearted words from other passenger while we were on train with zebra balloon as Hana’s souvenir. A gentleman seated in front of us was talking to us kindly about his daughter as old as my daughter, neighbour ladies seemed to come back from hiking gave some sweets when my daughter sit still on train. We enjoyed short trip to Chester very much.
